The 112 km (70 miles) Silver Trail branches east from the Klondike
Highway at Stewart Crossing. The scenic, historic Silver Trail is the Yukon's
insider tip for year-round travel. The beautiful Stewart River Valley,
the Moose Calving Habitat, Five Mile Lake (pleasant recreation area, nice
for swimming!), the Drunken Forest and the high mountain ranges,- here
are just a few keywords of what you will see. The 112 km Silver Trail
leads you to Mayo, Elsa and Keno City. The first 62 km (38.5 miles) are
paved road, followed by a very well maintained unpaved circuit that takes
in Elsa and Keno City has side-spurs to several lakes.
